- The concept.
- Aesthetics such as colour, texture and form to look pleasing to the eye.
People featuring themselves in their own journals...

- Meh it's their journal, they can do as they choose.
So where is the line with Photo Editing?

- Should just be minor things like colour, contrast and cropping.
- You can add colour editing layers such as instagram/photoshop actions and such.
- Digitally painting into it is okay.
- The photo shouldn't be edited too much.
