Done with a Chinese model, Chinese Brushes and Chinese inks. Lol. Oh, and photoshop. Lots of photoshop. I was playing around with the Chinese inks for quite sometime before I created something I was remotely happy with - there are a few rough copied in my sketchbook.

Anyway, I did this primarily so it would convey my attitude and my messy hair. I didn't want to do a typical smiling picture - not quite me.

...this was the first thing that caught my eye on your home page, a wonderfully painted self portrait. It is not that easy to capture specific features in a minimum of brushstrokes, and that is why I think this self-portrait is so excellent. This is extremely well done!!!

Thanks! I don't usually like doing self portraits but I kind of figured I may as well have some ID up there. It took me three goes though! Thanks for the fave.
